Abstract

A continuous English-Chinese speech translation system is introduced.The design and realization methods are disccussed.A demonstration system with 150 English words and 21 different English sentence patterns has been set up on AST 386C/P computer.It can recognize speaker-dependant continuously spoken English sentences and translate them to Chinese,then speak out naturally by Chinese speech synthesizer.
